I am not a paneled provider for insurance companies and therefore do not bill directly to them. I can provide you with a monthly billing statement to submit to your insurance company to request reimbursement. Please note that most insurance companies require a diagnosis in order to reimburse for mental health services. It is possible that you will not meet criteria for a diagnosis, in which case I would be unable to provide you with a statement. It is also important to consider if you want a diagnosis to be a part of your medical record.

Clients are responsible for checking their own benefits prior to starting services.

Payment

Cash and all major credit cards as forms of payment, including health savings accounts.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend a session, please cancel at least 48 hours beforehand. Otherwise, charges will apply for the full rate of the session.

Notice

“No Surprises Act”

Dear Current and Potential Future Clients,

Congress enacted what is known as a “No Surprises Act” which has gone into effect 1/1/2022. The act is described as “new federal protections against surprise medical bills that take effect in 2022. Surprise medical bills arise when insured consumers inadvertently receive care from out-of-network hospitals, doctors, or other providers they did not choose.” An example of this would be going to a hospital emergency room that is in your insurance network, but later receiving a bill from an out of network provider (e.g. anesthesiologist, radiologist) that you unknowingly saw during that ER visit (please see https://www.kff.org/health-reform/issue-brief/no-surprises-act-implementation-what-to-expect-in-2022/).

It is unlikely this would affect our work together. There would be no situation in which you would “inadvertently” receive care from me through no choice of your own.  If we currently work together, you are already aware of my charges and your costs. If you are considering working with me, please see “Rates” Section above. My fees are also outlined in the Therapy Agreement Form you’ll be asked to read thoroughly and sign before our first appointment.
